What We Focus On

In our occupational therapy group program, we help children strengthen the foundational motor skills they need for everyday activities, play, and learning. Our focus areas include:

  • Catching and throwing – building coordination, timing, and bilateral hand use
  • Running, stopping, and changing direction – improving motor planning and body control
  • Jumping and landing safely – developing strength, balance, and joint stability
  • Balance and strength – enhancing postural control and core stability for daily tasks
  • Problem-solving in obstacle courses – promoting sensory integration, sequencing, and confidence.

Why It’s Important

  • Strong gross motor skills are essential for success in all areas of a child’s life. Through occupational therapy, we support growth in:
  • School skills – improved focus, handwriting readiness, and participation in classroom routines
  • Social skills – increased confidence in group play and teamwork
  • Physical development – coordination and endurance for active play and self-care
  • Self-esteem – building confidence as children master movement and meet personal goals

Little Steps

– for families who are on our current waitlist

Families and children are invited to come and explore how occupational therapy can make everyday activities easier, more fun, and more meaningful. It’s a relaxed space to meet therapists, ask questions, and discover how OTs can support children at home, at school, and in the community. Families can also learn about funding options — including NDIS, Medicare, and private paying — and explore other community supports that may help.

This service is completely free of charge and obligation-free, designed to give families the chance to connect and learn in a supportive environment.

All children of all ages are welcome! Sign up here or fill in the form below to see the next available session dates and join our friendly community as we take little steps toward big growth together.
